A short little sketchy for you today. Have an (Andrea) Chainey. Her hair looks like toothpaste, and you will never unsee it.
We obviously can’t just stop at one, right? PJ(Penny) clearly would be a pretty pretty princess. Perfect Owen bait.
In the interest of silly plot ideas, a setting emerged from throwaway comments from Sfe about monster hoodies and point-and-click adventures.
In a modern, urban sort of area, the world goes on as it normally does, or at least as far as it knows. For alongside our world, made up of the dreams and confused brain thoughts of people all the world over, exists a Dream World. This is about as messed up as it should be, and perhaps a little bit more. There are monster people who live and dwell there as manifestations of society, personality, or just deranged people in general. Typically, these monsters are representative of something or someone in the Waking World, but aren’t directly symbolic. There might be a lizard person because his waking self is slinky, adaptable, yet tends to curl up in a ball and hibernate when the going gets too tough.
In the present, events are mildly disrupted by Dream People who are Up To No Good instilling figments of their world into bits of clothing and knick-knacks, and setting them adrift into the Waking World. Bonding with one of these lets the person take on a monstery form representative of their Dream State, at the expense of tying them to the Dream World and all the strangeness thereof.
Our point of view character is Allie, an 18-something human who has become entangled in this strangeness. She is bewildered by the strangeness of the Dream World, but never to the point of being overwhelmed, tending towards a "You people are strange!" attitude. More of a despondent resignation that things will not become normal anytime soon, rather than an "Oh, that’s odd." Arthur Dent sort of thing. Her Monster Hoodie is a black jackal, with little ears on the hood and an adorable little tail hanging from the back. With practice, she can bend and twist her jackal shape to hop between distant spaces. To her, it looks like hopping through a portal, but to the viewers, it’s more like her front half twists and bends to the new location, and the back half wiggles to catch up like a slinky.
She is joined by Finnick, a young(15 years or so) satyr boy from the Dream World. He is the fae spirit of Youthful Heroic Resolve, though he hasn’t come up with a good title for this, and he gets all the mockery from his spirit friends over that sort of thing. He wishes he had a good one-word expression like Malarkey or Camaraderie, but the taxonomy fails him. He knows that there are people up to no good with this Monster Hoodie business, but when he tried to find things out, their minions picked him up and put him in a little box, which is where he is found by Allie. Finnick tends to be shy despite his purview, and will be the sort who does the Hero Thing even when no one else will, though he’ll be wibbling and fretting the whole time.
Allie also finds an intelligent shoulder bag, helpfully labeled Wumpus. It has little felt eyeballs and fangs, to look scary, though it is not vicious or even dangerous at all. It is merely a bag with the ability to taste what is inside of it, and it enjoys traveling with Allie because she discovers all sorts of new flavors! Mmm… plot items.
So yes, all sorts of odd point-and-click oddities. These are the things I think about when stuck in traffic.
When in doubt, more lizard people. Do you see her? She does not care. She has her own ways, and will not let things like common sense get in front of them. So swanky. Look at her go!
Race things, for a Pathfinder game. I wanted to draw them, but didn’t want to spend hours on each one. Hence, an attempt at sketchy doodly style. So odd.
:C face fuzzwall is the best. She does not know why people are taking pictures of her, but it is awkward and strange.

I figured I’d start uploading my doofy drawings here, rather than Deviant Art. Quicker, easier, and I don’t have to look at the old bad stuff. Science.
Here’s a tabletop RPG character for a friend. First time I’ve ever been trying to make something intentionally creepy and bizarre, so hopefully it doesn’t just look odd. Strange goopy person with delusions of grandeur, and all sorts of mouths growing off of him. While he does now have the power to eat people from multiple angles, he can only speak through his extra mouths. As they have personalities of their own, they decide how best to convey his meanings, which gets him into minor bits of trouble.
Sfe, you’ve got me making monstery folk. Stop it. You’ll be infecting me with pugs next, won’t you.
